About

The Gold Room is a gathering space in McCormick Hall for the students, faculty, and friends of Hastings College's Department of Languages and Literatures.

It has been redesigned many times over the decades, but this is its most drastic makeover . . . it's now a blog.

The DLL decided to bring the Gold Room online, re-imagining it as a virtual space for all members and friends of the department to share creative work and ideas about the things they love.

Want to be a contributor? Here are the criteria:
  1. Be a member or friend of the DLL (students, alumni, faculty, emeriti, interested members of the Hastings College community)
  2. Want to share your love for languages, books, film, television, etc.
Email Dr. Patricia Oman (poman@hastings.edu) to get set up as a contributor. Don't forget to read The Rules. For help getting started, see the Guide for Contributors to The Gold Room.
